I found some hessian and played with a few ways of adding threads.I like the contrast between the colour of the added threads and the hessian but need to do more with samples and stitching to feel happier with the outcome,handstitching is a weak area.
Next sample I used threads ,dyed using same colours as in painted evenweave ,to weave and stitch into gaps left by withdrawing threads.
Rainy,chilly day so I spent some time on some samples.I had printed the word"seeds"on the fabric before withdrawing the threads.In the top sample I then used the threads to reweave into the holes left.In the bottom sample I just withdrew threads to form an"S".I think larger letter stamps might work better .
