Slips.

I am waiting for my fabric to come so instead of wasting time I've been creating "slips" that I may use in the wrap.I've made some silk paper, used snippets of organza, silk and threads trapped between layers of organza and free machined with rayon threads and cable stitch, then added cords and some beading as well as trapping sequins and angelina. These have been cut into the lozenge shape from my drawings.I have enjoyed this activity and hope that I can make use of them.I may use the offcuts that are left to make buttons to attach to the spiral with twisted cords and tassels.

Each slip looks like a real little piece of art. Really beautiful

The sips look great and the colours are wonderful ... can't wait to see the finished wrap.

back from my holiday in Pembrokeshire with tons of photos - getting addicted to my little digital camera!
Back to my resolved sample tomorrow with renewed heart.
Love the slips - they are so delicate and intricate.
