We've had some lovely weather over the last week ,so I got out into the garden and put off doing anything about the wrap ,despite having had the fabric.This morning I decided I should not put it off any longer.
So, after crawling about on all fours,drawing ,taping and cutting paper I think I at least have the master pattern.Now I just need to print the fabric, cut it out,stitch the slips ,stitch the wrap together ,edge it ,make the buttons and hope it turns out as I wanted.Wish me luck !

couldn't get the picture to enlarge - but it looks as if it is going to be very striking - hope all goes as planned - or at least the problems get solved easily!
