Fabrics and paper spirals.

In wrong order but my paper cuts of different spirals .I have yet to do the twists and tissue.
I had some silk samples so tore into strips and dyed in separate trays with Omega All-in-one dyes .

This selection was stuffed into a jar and my two colours were sryinged in and left

. MUD!!! This is what happens when you are not thinking straight and decide to dye in a tray with your two colours at the same time.

These are my first dyed fabrics using a variety of cotton /cotton blends and procion dyes.

Computer play.

Since I have been at my computer"playing" I thought it would be just as well to upload these images.I have some paper ones to photograph and add but not now.I also have been dyeing fabrics with Procion dyes which I'll upload another day as I have some others I have done with Omega All-in-One dyes that I need to go and rinse.I always feel a bit of a fraud using the "effects"on Paintshop as I don't really feel I have had much input and am not really certain of what I am doing other than pressing and clicking options.

More on spirals.

I tried to edit the first post to include these but for some reason it was taking forever so it's done in a new post.I decided to stick with all man-made spirals even though I have lots of natural spirals. These include my own photos and images found on the 'net.I have included some drawings done from objects around the house, garden and workshop as well as a few rubbings of wrought iron railings/gate.
I need to decide on a colour scheme ,red and green figure quite a lot in these images so I may plump for that .My first unit used blue and orange so I don't want to repeat that.I could stretch it to include hot pinks ,burgundies and reddy oranges and the other way to include turquoises, sea greens and lime.We shall see how good I am at getting these colours from paints and dyes!

Module Three.

New term,new module........manmade spirals.
