Pleasure?

No work and there won't be for a little while as I'm doing other things.
I went to Ally Pally yesterday and as usual was overwhelmed by the size ,the crowds ,the work and of course the shopping. My purchases left,I tried to stick to what I actually wanted like the Thermofax screens ,but was overcome as usual by seeing other things.
I wish it was possible to dip in and out for a couple of hours as it's too much to take in all at once.I sound a real moan, but it's so very short lived after the long wait and then to feel so tired by it! As I get older I think I'm less inclined to be among crowds.I also think the availability of so much online make it less of a treat.Am I a grumpy old woman?Probably!
It was lovely to meet up with some people and have a little chat and to have the opportunity to see the various textile work.I took another wander round later on when the crowds had thinned and the shopping had palled. There was some beautiful colour work by Julia Caprara and a great paper exhibition.I was also stunned by the creativity and inventiveness of the graduate knitters.

How envious I am of you going to Ally Pally, Jenn. But I have to console myself with the amount of money saved from all those tempting purchases. I'm interested to see what you do with the thermofax screens!

i too have a bag of stash! it was great to see a friendly face in the crowd, it took all of yesterday for me to get over it.

I know exactly how you feel about this. I actually went out into town to do christmas shopping the first time I went . It was all too much. I'm more seasoned to it now though. The Harrogate one is in a series of smaller buildings or halls and feels quite claustrophobic at times.
