Chapter 1.

I thought that in addition to the photographs I would take some rubbings of pieces I picked up when I was out and about.I also include some bark rubbings from trees,shrubs in my garden.

I used a graphite stick and some thin paper like newsprint for the rubbings.

They have worked well considering they are not flat pieces of bark etc.

These should give me a good start when I begin to play with paper.I also found some pictures taken on holiday that I have played with using filters and effects on PaintShop Pro.

This had glowing edges after being greyscaled.

This had black pencil filter applied



This had the edges enhanced.

This one had an ink outline.

I could go on and add more but it becomes repetitive and not very interesting to look at.I seem to be having some issue with Blogger not keeping my font and alignments so I'll save it for another day.

I have made some drawings that I'll add here .These are some pieces of bark,seedpods etc. I have picked up from time to time and it was an ideal opportunity to use my rather neglected drawing skills.
