A glimpse.

As Catherine advised I had quite a long break from my piece and yesterday I finally went back to it.I was having problems deciding how to create the reedy backdrop ,as the sample I did was small in comparison.I made lots of pieces and had tried assembling them in different ways but was not satisfied. Then I hit on the idea of using handstitch in cotton and perle.I had liked the sampler in module Five so went back to fly stitch, using irregular size stitches.I then attached the "made" fabric to a large piece of netwith more handstitching.I now feel much happier and ready to start playing with the floating water and rippling pieces.
This is a small section

and this is the shadow cast by it onto the wall.

This is beautiful! Some wonderful ideas have obviously been fermenting away in the back of your mind. I can see the influence from your lovely autumn photos from Slimbridge.

It was lovely to meet you and see your work at GTA last Tuesday. I look forward to seeing it as it progresses.
