I cut into the green silk and bonded it to the fabrics already applied,then more free machining and cable stitch from the back.

This is as far as I got this afternoon.I think I may cut away some of the fabric to reveal layers beneath and I want to add beads to add height in places, probably rolled from fabric or paper.As the shape is very close to the edge I may consider extending it to let the spiral spin off.Wire may be a possibility for this to stiffen the edge , covering it with fabric.I could then maybe mount it on canvas.I have seen some circular ones locally.Why can I never choose simple shapes?
